Application Conditions and Ethical Principles in the Draft Program®
Do you want to apply to the Draft Program? We want to offer a fair and safe environment for all our participants, and therefore the Finnish law and certain participation conditions below apply in the program’s application process.
The Draft Program is committed to comply with sanctions set by the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the EU, and the UN in force at any given time. This means that we cannot accept teams into the program that have members subject to these sanctions. It may be necessary to check the backgrounds of team members during the application process.
The Draft Program reserves the right to ask a team applying to the program to provide clarification on the backgrounds of its members. In order to clarify the backgrounds of team members, we may also use other data sources in compliance with data protection laws. We do this to ensure that teams participating in the Draft Program comply with the existing legislation and ethical principles.
In the Draft Program, we want to support entrepreneurship that respects human rights, the environment, and ethical principles. For this reason, we reserve the right to reject applications whose business idea is ethically problematic. According to the ethical principles of the Draft Program, we consider ‘ethically problematic’ any business idea that violates generally accepted ethical norms or principles. This may include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Business ideas related to illegal activities or projects that carry a risk of criminal activity.
- Business ideas that cause significant environmental damage or promote unsustainable practices from an environmental perspective.
- Business ideas that exploit vulnerable groups excessively or that have a harmful impact on communities.
- Business ideas that support military conflict or violence, such as arms industry projects.
The Draft Program is a place for innovative and ethical business ideas. We are eagerly looking forward to your application!
